Applying for Your Diploma

You must file an application for degree before you can graduate. For more information send email to degree-audit@tamu.edu Undergraduates may call the Office of Admissions and Records at (979)845-1089. Graduates may call the Office of Graduate Studies at (979)845-3631.

Application for Degree

Undergraduate and graduate students planning to graduate at the end of the current semester may file applications for degrees online starting Wednesday, August 15. The deadline is Friday, September 7, for December 2007 ceremonies. This online application system will be accessible during the following hours: Monday-Thursday 8 a.m.-Midnight; Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. It will not be available weekends and holidays.

The application for degree requires payment of the diploma fee ($40; also known as the graduation fee). The easiest method of making this payment is to select Option Code 66 during pre-registration. Selecting this option does not automatically make you a degree candidate. If you have not selected option 66 for the graduation fee, completing the online application will automatically add it to your account.

Students who are permitted to apply after the deadline will be charged an additional $50 late application fee per degree. Late applicants may not receive their diplomas on graduation day due to the length of time needed for printing. Arrangements will be made for these diplomas to be picked up or mailed.

The Office of Admissions and Records at (979) 845-1089 also handles orders for copies of diplomas awarded in the past.
