Ceremony Dates & Speakers

The TAMU Office of the Registrar is responsible for balancing the number of graduates at each commencement ceremony. Consequently, the determination of which colleges will graduate at which ceremony is typically not established until 2-3 weeks after the graduation application deadline for that semester.

May 2013

Commencement ceremonies on the College Station campus for the spring semester of 2013 will be held May 10-11. The ceremonies will be conducted on these days in Reed Arena unless otherwise noted.

Commencement Convocation
Thursday, May 9, 5:30 p.m. - Rudder Auditorium
Speaker: Congressman William H. "Bill" Flores, Texas A&M Class of 1976

  • Commencement ceremonies are expected to begin with a convocation that features one notable speaker. The commencement exercises at which degrees will be conferred will follow in subsequent ceremonies on May 10 and 11.
  • Students will not be required to wear academic regalia at the Commencement Convocation, but will need to do so at the subsequent actual degree-granting exercises.
