Fall 2002 - Graduation Dates & Speakers

Commencement ceremonies for the fall semester of 2002 were held December 20-21. Four different ceremonies were conducted on these days in Reed Arena.

The Office of Admissions and Records has announced the following schedule for the ceremonies:

Friday, December 20, 9:00 a.m.
Speaker: Royce West, Texas State Senator

  • Graduates and Undergraduates in Liberal Arts
  • Graduates in Medicine
  • Graduates and Undergraduates in Veterinary Medicine

Friday, December 20, 2:00 p.m.
Speaker: Carole Keeton Rylander, Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts

  • Graduates in George Bush School of Government and Public Service
  • Graduates and Undergraduates in Dwight Look College of Engineering
  • Graduates and Undergraduates in Science

Saturday, December 21, 9:00 a.m.
Speaker: David Dewhurst, Lt. Governor-elect, State of Texas

  • Graduates and Undergraduates in Agriculture and Life Sciences
  • Graduates and Undergraduates in Architecture
  • Graduates and Undergraduates in Geosciences

Saturday, December 21, 2:00 p.m.
Speaker: Steve Ogden, Texas State Senator

Undergraduates from the Galveston campus graduated Saturday, December 21 in Galveston.
